Way back in 1999, I went to purchase a new Corvette C5, but ended up leaving with a Camaro for 'practical' reasons.

Now 7 years later, I've finally caught up with myself and today I finally secured... a 1999 C5.

Having looked at a fair number in the last few weeks, it became clear there was one person who shone above all others
with help, advice, selection and options, Chris Graham Corvettes.

I spent half a day with Chris today trying a number of cars out, nothing was too much trouble, we even found
out his brother was a hero of mine when I was a kid!

If you are looking for a Corvette, speak to Chris before all others.
Even if what you want is not on the site, there are incomming or known possibilities and he won't touch
a car with a questionable history.

My new car? Well it's showroom condition with many extras including the sweet Borla exhaust and was
previously owned by a celebrity couple.

Thanks to all those that have offered cars, advice or help, it's been much appreciated.
Cant wait to pick her up in a few days!

Well done, obviously a great colour choice (black is the fastest colour) & you can't go wrong with a borla exhaust, had mine on my C5 for 4 years now & still love the sound, now you're gonna have to take it to Le Mans with the rest of us to appreciate the C5 qualities.

George or Billy?

Who was the celebrity couple?

Stuart - used to race monster Camaros among other cars and won just about everything!

As for the previous owners, this couple.

Thanks - for sure, I can't wait.

I know it will be very different to the Cerbera and with it being an auto, a very different style of driving.

I'll be feeling my way with it this weekend as next week it will be away on a Driving Adventure along side 20 TVR's, 2 Ferraris, an Aston and a few others, so that will be a awesome weekend away.

I remember Stuart Graham, a good man behind the wheel! I loved those days of Special Saloon racing. Camaro's mini's et al mixing it round the circuits, and then there was Gerry Marshall!

Classic days indeed, Stuart's BRUT cars, Big Bertha, Wizzo Williams etc

There was a big feature in one of the bike mags a few months back on Stuart Graham - he was a very good bike racer as well but his timing let him down which is why we all know him as the car racer

Quite correct.

"Stuart Graham is the son of 1949 500cc Motorcycle World Champion Les Graham, who tragically died in the 1953 Isle of Man TT. Stuart raced bikes from 1961 - '70. He was a works driver for both Honda and Suzuki World Championship GP Teams. Wins include the Isle of Man TT, World Championship GPs and World Endurance Records. Stuart retired from bike racing in 1970."

Chris who sells the Corvettes (Graham has retired) built the race car engines and also has some very cool bikes as well.

Very nice guys.

Nice car Graham. Glad you're in a C5, even if it's not mine

Anyone looking for another Chris Graham provided (originally) Black C5 (this one's 6sp manual though so the real deal ) and hoping to save themselves around 7k and REALLY scare the neighbours (SLP loudmouth ), send me a pm!

Having said that, some bar-steward has apparently broken a window this morning (on my way home now) so let me get a new one fitted first!
