Does anybody know any details of the F1 tyre testing day at Silverstone tomorrow, ie which teams will be present, admission prices etc?

Many thanks in advance.

I could hear them testing yesterday from where I work (about 10 miles or so away!).

Take ear defenders. The V8s are far louder than last years V10 cars. I had to go after a couple of hours this morning because i couldn't bear teh noise any more and my ears are still ringing 4 hours later.

I went up there today. Got a few shoddy photos here. Nice of Jacques to park up as soon as I sat down at Bridge.

Fantastic noise, awesome speed. Well worth the £0 entry fee.

Looks like they had more places to watch open than the usual little stand at Woodcote.

Going clockwise I got as far as Copse.

The pit straight grandstand was open. A marshall (who stopped me progressing beyond Copse) told me I could get to Becketts if I went all the way round anti-clockwise. I got as far as Stowe before yet another red flag convinced me to give up on my hike to Becketts and call it a day.

Got good views of Copse, Luffield, Bridge, Abbey, Club and Stowe though. Not bad!

I was there today, good turnout both from the team and spectators. It can't be long before they start charging for entry.

Official you could only go past copse with a pass, but me and two of my mates got through no problem!

IMO the V8's are just as loud, but they lack that final tenth of intensity that pierced your eardrums with the V10's!

Thinking of going tomorrow.

It's about a two hour drive for me, do you need to be there at a particular time?

Cheers.

I was there yesterday as well, There is some advantage in dealing with salesmen all the time... I even got a nice lunch and a pit lane walk during the lunch break and access to the paddock after lunch.

although to be honest the pit lane walk was a bit of a waste of time as they have all got very anal and now put the screens across the front of the garages to obstruct the view, and barriers to stop you getting close to the screens..

MF1, didnt bother though so got some good pics of them. ALso the barrier at Honda got moved so you could get right up to the screen.

I've got a pic of Baricello looking sat in the car on what looks like a bin liner presumerably having a seat fitting...

The paddock was even more of a waste of time unless you wanted to hang around a winebago in the vain hope someone might come out.... There were some very nice trucks thoug if you like trucks... I think the Reault Magnums look the best although they need to be black like the old lister le mans stuff.

I think its on again today..
