Looks like this is where my oil on the exhaust is coming from...

Anybody got any quick fixes (Thicker oil in g/box, additives, etc)

Or do I need to remove the exhaust / prop / g/box extension case and fit a new o-ring!

TADT I believe that the O ring can only be replaced from inside the box. While I was having my gearbox rebuilt, they machined it for a proper oil seal, which has worked well for some years, although there's a bit of seepage now. As long as you keep the level topped up, and avoid using ATF (too thin) it won't cause a problem. Helps protect the chassis And if you really want an O ring, I bought a pack from my local Rover agent a few years back which I never used. Let me know.

Thanks, I'll try the thicker oil route first (possibly mix ATF and somw gear oil)

Anyone used Wynns leak sealer at all, it's been recommended by my cousin (Time served grease monley for over 30 years!)
