I have been quoted about £1000 fully comp from Peart (who I use for my Mitsubishi EVO).

Is this about right for a clean licence, garaged; tracked (by Porsche); 50 year old?

Can anyone recommend some other companies willing to insure my new car (due next month)?

Thanks,
Nigel

A tad higher than my quote from Norwich Union, but I'm in a very low risk area.
Do Peart require a Tracker? NU don't, which was a clincher for me as I didn't want to go to the hassle/expence of fitting one.

Sounds about right. I did my '03 C4S with Peart at the turn of the year, all the criteria you quote are similar to my own. It came out at just under 900 pounds but you have a higher net value in the new car. The policy is with R&SA and Tracker was mandatory.

Try A. Manning UK. I pay £490 a year fully comp for GT3 with track day cover included, no extra excess. Policy's limited to 5000 miles admittedly but Dad's 996 C4 is unlimited mileage same deal at £590 and that includes my Mum on the policy....if only they knew...!

Contact Matt Hodge on 01491 578759, need to be PCGB member for eligibility.

Sounds good to me. It's a bit less than I'm paying for my 997S, but then I'm in Central London and a bit younger. Through Directline, (and they needed a tracker too).

Also try www.firstalternative.com (part of the Halifax group of companies) On my 996 my premium is just £480, aged 37. Although they offer online quotes I believe you have to phone to get a quote on a car worth over £50k.

(When I looked at going back to an Evo they doubled my premium, so you should get a cheaper quote with a 911)
