Hi,

Does anyone have a small press-switch immeditely to the left of the heater dials, right in the "corner" of the wood facia..? I've got one, but its not in the handbook, and I've not seen one on anyone elses car interior pics ever.

The cars a 93' 4.0l with a standard alarm etc etc, but seeing as the ice warning system isn't in the handbook either I'm just wondering if it is something original. I've been reluctant to press it and find out what it does in case it does something daft..

Cheers,
Matt

Cool - I'm with Raceboy, press it! I dont have one on mine but will get one if the Bond theory comes true .

You never know, it could be a heater booster so you can get extra heat on those warm summer days cos you really need one of those!

Maybe alarm panic switch, seen some of these wired in to convertable cars alarm systems, probably best not to test it on the high street/any busy road

I just want to know why it has taken M@H four months since the purchase of his car to wonder about this switch.

Surely one plays with all the toys as soon as the car is purchased. Or is it just me?

Someone who is now the proud owner of a Tango Cerbera had had his previous play thing, a 4.3 Griff quite a while before driving it in the dark,
Lets just say he had to get out to shut the boot

Must admit to having to look in the manual as to what the button on the left under the steering colume did as pressing it without the lights on didn't seem to do a great deal

You should be worried if your missus says "he has problems with finding which button to press" !

an override for the immobilsier so you dont have to fiddle about? or an override for internal sensors for when parked with roof off causing false alarms?
is it the same material/design as the other switch gear? ie is it TVR gear or 3rd party stuff?

I had a override on the radiator fans, but that was under the dash.

Before pressing whilst driving, just check that you haven't got a tank in the boot marked "Nitrous"

Isn't it for the air conditioning anyhow?
