Dodgy Tyre Question

Right, went out to the Chimaera to drive to work this morning to find the nearside rear Bridgestone a bit on the flat side, it was only flat at the bottom but decided it was best to hijack the panzer wagon to drive to work than take the TVR.
Bit annoyed as the tyres are only a few months old but these things happen, so left it in the capable hands of dad to take to the local back street tyre bloke to see if it could be fixed.
Anyway just rung him to see what the damage was and have been told there was nothing wrong with it, no holes, nothing, no bubbles on the leak test, nothing, so it's been pumped back up and is back on the car
Anyway the way the car was parked if it was kids mucking about they would have done the other side, due to cover from the fence, and the cars got a proximity sensor alarm that would beep, quite loud, if you got anywhere near it, so whats happened?
Anyone else had the air stolen from their tyres under suspicious circumstances?

I thought kids liked to put a small stone inside the dust cap and then tighten it down so it went flat but looked like it hadn't been touched!
At least that's what we did when we were 11!

So put some air in and went to the garage they checked it no holes screws or anything and its been fine ever since very bizare !!!!!
However I have just cleaned it and found a small (I hope )screw in one of my fronts aghhhhhh !!!!

Did you check the pressure yesterday, or was it just a case of it looking all right? I had a 40-series go bang on the sidewall recently (blew a 12in gash right through) simply because I'd not noticed it was getting flat.
Most likely cause from my experience is a corroded alloy – they're always worse in damp weather, but hardly lose any air when it's warm.

Just hope it's still inflated when I get home, if it's a new alloy and/or a new tyre I'm not going to be happy 
It looked ok, and drove ok, didn't actually check it though
Oh and while the wheel was off pops noticed the rear break pads where a little thin so theres a job for the weekend

Not exactly the same vehicle but my wifes Disco was suffering from a similar tyre problem, which was regularly checked but no leak found. Eventually found a local back street tire outfit who diagnosed the problem to a section of the bead having been snapped when the tyre was originally fitted.
When fully pumped up, the pressure of tyre against the rim sealed the gap between bead, tyre and alloy, if the tyre deflated at all the gap would open up and the rate of deflation would increase. The only way this could been fully seen was by removing the tyre and checking the whole bead both sides. Dead cheap to fix, the setion of tyre and bead was adhered back to the main tyre carcass with a rubber sealant. Wouldn't suggest this fixing method on a TVR tyre though.

) you need some of that there tyre slime sealant as used in the WRC rally cars.

I would suspect a small hole caused by whatever, it may leak only if at a certain position relative to the ground, probably will not be found on a pressure test either. I had one like this, went on for months until I found it, accidentally, when parked in a puddle.
