What type of glue

Getting the ready for the summer and this years Le Mans trip. My underbonnet insulation has come unstuck. If i remember last year i used something lke No more nails, but i think the heat must have got to it.
Can anyone recommend a decent glue that will do the job ?

The stuff that you glue the hoods on with - it's a contact adhesive that's heat proof to 100c. Dunlop 1728 or something... Woolies trim sell it IIRC.

Tried a high temp adhesive from the company Agriemach which supplies the heat shield material, it was useless.

Then tried Evostick which has held for 2 years so far.

Exactly the same here

And if you use Evostik Timebond it's the non-contact-adhesive version which takes a few minutes to set so you can make sure it's flat with no trapped air etc. It comes as a paste in red and blue tins.

It holds the bonnet heatproofing on fine in my Fury which being approximately 0.00001mm from the turbo gets rather warmer than that in the Griff.....

I tried No More Nails last year after a similar thread, and it didnt work for me.
Once the car got up to temp the cab would fill with fumes from the glue getting too hot and after about 2 month the heat sheild fell off again

Evostic Impact adhesive...works fine...(well for the last 2 years and counting.....)

I've got a new heat shield to fit to the bonnet, what sort of prep is required to the bonnet once the old sheild has been removed?

Rubbed with course abraisive to provide a good key or thinners or some other sort of cleaner?

I used no nails plenty of it done 10,000 and still solid took bonnet off and
left to dry upsidedown for a day.

I re-stuck my Griff underbonnet shielding with a high-temperature glue I got from Halfords. I read all the packets until I found one that was good for 200°C. It has worked fine.

Isn't evostick urea-based? If so, presumably it stinks like heck as it gets hot?
