Hi Cliff...

The mag was published early this month?! If you have been a 2005/6 member you will have received it by 7th April... If you have just joined for 2006/7, the first mag you will get is the June one which will be sent during first week of June. I hope this clears it up?

If you are a 2005/6 member and have not received your April mag please let me know and I'll ensure it is sent

Sorry Cliff, you're right. Your first mag will arrive in early June for 06/07 members... on the upside you will continue to receive it through to next April!

Just joined this week and unsure as to how it works, but is there any kind of 'welcome' pack or
will the first package arrive as mentioned above, in June?

Just joined myself after being foxed by Postman Pat not mamaging to get my previous applications to Riston. Got my acknowledgement, membership card, windscreen sticker and some notes on membership advantges through while I have been away. The mag is shipped separately I believe.

As I was joining for 2006, there are no back issues due as the membership years starts in May, and cost of membership chiefly goes towards the production of the mag. Had I joined for an incomplete year, then there may have been some back issues sent with the welcome pack. All quite reasonable.

On the upside, there is a new CCCUK facility where you can buy back issues of Vette News here www.corvette-club-merchandise.co.uk/store/listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=4

It's a new facility and currently piloting, but please feel free to try it out!

Cliff - I don't remember anything about this - you didn't give me cash did you?? Did you get a receipt?? Do you have any other proof of payment??

Only kidding - sorry for any confusion. I did ask for you to be a 2006/7 member with effect from 1 May as it seemed pointless to take £35 off you for one month, and then ask you to renew for another £35 (it did occur to me though!!!)
You will get something but as the this is renewal time, the Membership Secretary is a bit busy - please keep me posted.

The sticker is for sticking to the inside of your windscreen. It denotes you as a CCCUK member for events and cheaper entry for the Nationals where only CCCUK member's cars are eligible for judging (for those that are that way inclined).

Some people have tried sticking it to the outside of the windscreen!! Plays havoc with the wipers

I hope you're looking after the Wheels Day trophy

Curses I stuck the sticker to my forehead in lieu of a tattoo.

Trophy is in safe hands, rest assured. Looking forward to handing it on to its next custodian. I shall bring it to Silverstone on the 7th
