Seem to remember another thread somewhere on Pistonheads where it was considered a LOR and not worth it.

OK then lets say we have a 4litre engine ignoring volumetric efficiency it will pull in 2 litre per rotation.
At 6000rpm that is 12,000 litres a minute or 2667 gallons/minute.
At best this thing would start to restrict your engine at 2884 rpm.
Who ever heard of a compressor that cools (or is that cooles) the air?
