Dave52 - car for sale
Discussion
Attended Dave's funeral today and spoke to his close friend who is dealing with settling the estate and he asked if I knew anyone who wanted to buy a Monaro. The car in question has been heavily modified from the original spec so I'd be interested in any feedback on what you think the car is likely to be worth. The spec as I recall is as follows - perhaps LSV could fill in some details as I believe they carried out several of the mods.
04 plate silver Monaro with 35-40k miles on the clock
Ripshifter gear change
New headers
2.5" stainless exhaust with cats removed
Mafless tune
OTRCAI
VXR Brakes - bought 2nd hand and were all x-ray checked at workshop before fitting and only disc showing cracks was replaced.
Holden badges all round inc wheel centres but excluding steering wheel, he never quite got round to that.
LS1 metal engine covers
The last figures Dave had for the car was around 412bhp and it had topped 180mph on the rolling road (with some to spare apparently!!)
Now the car's not the cleanest most pristine example you'll ever find but its a fabulous car to drive, sounds fantastic and mechanically it was well looked after. Still to check but Dave had said that all the standard bits he'd replaced - exhaust, headers etc were in storage for him so they should all be available to whoever purchases the car.
If anyone's interested in taking a look then send me your details and I'll pass them on to his mate and you can take it from there with him. As I said I'd also be interested in what you think the cars worth - I'd suggested somewhere in the 18-20k range, higher - lower?
