It is so damned good having Murray back for the GP Masters... it just sounds so right with him doing the commentary!!!

Even calling Andrea deCesaris, Elio DeAngelis at one stage.

Agree also with the gravel trap rant, although Qatar is a bike circuit so this being the first car race there they will soon realise the problems they have with the gravel and lack of escape routes for towed vehicles. Different to 2 marshalls man handling a bike off track.

As much as I love Murray, that little slip really made me cringe. Fair enough getting Emerson confused with Christian once in a while, but confusing someone very much alive with a guy who has been dead 20 years? I do think perhaps Murray should retire gracefully now.

Race wasn't bad, and good to see Pierluigi Martini racing,as he was my favourite underdog in his F1 years. Organisation could've been better, what with the age it took to tow cars out of the way.

Sorry, I don't like Walker's commentary at all. When I'm watching a race I want some insight into what's happening, so when it's obvious that, simply by looking at the screen, I understand more about what's going on than the commentator does I find it very annoying. It's the same with James Allen and the BBC Moto GP commentators. They all make loads of mistakes and miss major developments in the races.

DISCLAIMER: I didn't acutally watch the GP Masters race today, but I doubt Walker has changed much.

Same old - talking about something interesting that happened pre-race then interupting himself to make a blindingly obvious and sometimes innacurate visual commentary on something we can clearly see ourselves. Although both he and Alan Jones failed to see a bloody great big 4x4 towing Eliseo Salazar's car in, both saying that he'd managed to get it going again.....hello guys, they don't have starters and I can see a tow rope attached to the car.

Sorry to contradict, but the GP Masters cars actually do have starters fitted... they mentioned it more than once during both practice and pre-race.

Really? Whoops. Doesn't excuse the obvious tow rope though or the big 4x4 at the other end though

True ......

I was surprised they didn't pull the safety car in that lap instead of going round again, as the 4x4 was just starting into the pits as they crossed the start-finish... but then again, the race control and marshalling was chaos!!
