Chaps, am now at the stage where everything is almost ready to connect together.

My Stack ST8130 cam with 1/8" NPT senders for Oil/Fuel pressure and Water/Oil temp.

The question for those 'Stackers' out there is, where did you mount your senders??

Oil pressure I guess is from the rear takeoff by the dizzy (but need a 90 degree adaptor?)

Oil temp - any suggestions? Seem to have a blanked off hole on the sump wing for this but is way too big.

Water temp I'm thinking along the lines of an in line ally tube that I can tap an NPT thread into. I can't really tap into the block as swarf would get inside it (not good). Any other ideas?

Fuel pressure - probably the simplest of the lot as I'll modify the fuel line to the carb and take it off the end ala the Red demonstrator.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Ta!

All my senders are 1/8 npt, Water temp,( because you havn't got an inlet manifold as such), would be to put an ally adapter in the top hose. (See Demon tweaks catalogue). Oil Pres, I used a small length of braided hose from the oil gallery to the sender and then fabricated a ally bracket onto the engine creating the right angle. Oil temp, i used a Peterson fitting in the pipe from the cooler to the engine. (Available from Performance Unlimited). Fuel Pres, in the line nearest to the Carb (Available from Earl's at Siverstone in various AN sizes)

Sounds like I'm thinking along the same lines.

Water temp adaptors are only available in BSP fittings so would need to sleeve it/get an adaptor.

Will try to find a 90 degree adaptor for the oil pressure sender and a suitable Peterson fittings for the oil temp and fuel pressure from the local raceparts supplier.

Cheers

Stack recommends for longer life that you DON'T mount the pressure senders directly on the engine because of vibration. Remote mount them on the chassis using braided hose. I think there's a few photos on the build CD.
However, I plan to mount the fuel pressure directly on the fuel rail to avoid that extra line with fuel in it under pressure.

Thanks Jack, good advice. Got the CD by the way. Very impressive with some innovative solutions.

Look forward to seeing the finished article

I mounted mine as follows.

Oil pressure - by dizzy but used an extension, no difference really from your T idea.

Water Temp - on the water pump, I removed a plug and used an adapter, however most heads have a water temp take off point on the head around the exhaust manifold I think, also from memory some of the factory cars have it around the thermostat. Neither of these options were available to me.

Oil Temp - I tapped into the output side of the take-off plate for the oil cooler so it read the hottest oil in the engine.

Air Temp - Mounted this in the engine bay behind the driver, didn't feel the need for it to be an ice-warning indicator! If I go in circles, I know its icy!

Just looking to order my Stack system this weekend - so I'm looking for a little guidence.
Stig - you refer to yours as the ST8130 (sorry if I missed the details from other threads) -looking at the spec sheet I have, that doesn't have a fuel pressure sensor. I therefore assume you went for one of the model varients with additional options!
Which options are worth having?
With all the talk of low fuel pressure causing problems with engines I assume this may prove an invaluable option.
I also intend to do a good few track days so does anyone know if the lap timer or predictive lap timer are worth the extra money.

Chewy, it's a ST8130P which is a standard variant which includes the fuel pressure readout.
