Hi folks!

Well this is my first post on this particular part of the forum but I thought it was time to introduce my car.

She's a '77 Carrera 3.0 Targa and has been owned by my family since day 1. Having only covered 35k miles she's still like new on the interior but the bodywork had signs of attack from the dreaded red rot! So, two new wings later and she's like the day she rolled off the production line.

This is the first proper run i've had for a while and as the weather has been so perfect this weekend there was little to stop me!

Anyway, i hope you all enjoy the pics. (this is also my first attempt at linking photobucket images so excuse any mistakes in advance!)

Cheers

James

Good for you James. By the way, where in the world were you taking the photos?

Thanks for the comment Andrew.
These were taken by Durris just outside Aberdeen. For those who know the area i was on the back road from Banchory to Stonehaven.

great scenery, even greater car. it`s an absolute credit my good fellow. hair-splitting critisism tho...the first pic you have the sun behind you, therefore it`s much brighter than the others. (hope no offence taken!)

Lovely car in a lovely colour. Very far-sighted of the family to hang onto the car so long, as this Carrera has now come into its own all over again. It looks the nuts, and frankly, I'd rather have that than a Boxster/Cayman.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Well my family are car mad and have had a few very interesting cars over the years. This is just one that nobody could part with as it was practical, good looking and reliable. I fondly remember sitting in the rear bucket seats as a 5/6yr old when we used to go to the Doune Classic Show and various motorsport events at Ingleston.

Yes, the location is superb. Good old Scottish forests and near cloudless sky!

I'm not really all that 'up' on my photography skills. I tend to point the digicam in the rough direction of the object and provided it's somewhere in the screen then i take the pic. I'll remember to watch where the sun is in future though!

Cheers
