Help with Air filter S1

A bit of help please in trying to track down a better flowing airfilter for an S1.
Unlike the S2 2.9 which can have induction kits the S1 has a fixed airbox/fuel meter head.
Has anybody fitted a K and N filter or something like that?

Hi. i have a k&N on my 2.8. its a Ford Granada 2.8 air box. so the granada 2.8 air filter will fit in it. also the air flow is poor on the 2.8 sucking the air in from the wheel. i but a bigger air pipe on and fed it to the front of the bumber in the mesh. hope this helps James
