Try the adobe web site, I use the cut down version of Photshop and a newer version came out but couldn't find a cheap option for updating .

£125 excluding VATfor an upgrade from PS7...

The Adobe shop claims to have full versions of CS2 starting at £295 ex VAT, but I'm buggered if I can get the price below £425 no matter what I do. Might be worth a call to see if you can get them to honour that price.

If so, assuming you have all the bits and bobs, full retail versions of PS7 go for £200+ on ebay, I'd guess this will finish closer to £300, meaning that you will potentially be better off selling your PS7 and buying a full CS2 license.

I only really want to upgrade to CS because Adobe have failed to make a plugin for PS7 to enable it to read my .CR2 RAW files.
I also like the look of the Photomerge facility in CS which is also missing from 7

You should consider getting a copy of rawshooter - www.pixmantec.com/ - there is a free and a paid for version.

Whilst it will introduce an extra step into your workflow, given the savings it's probably worth it alone. In actual fact I think rawshooter improves workflow as you can bash through hundreds of raw files mile more quickly than using the PS raw support...

photomerge is just Adobe's version of stitching, there are other options available there as well, although i've not looked at any, i can say that the CS photomerge feature isn't all that impressive.

Then you'll need to upgrade to CS2 (Photoshop 9), not CS (Photoshop 8). The plug-in that handles .CR2 doesn't work with anything earlier than Photoshop CS2
