After having some frustrating starting problems when the car is hot, I contacted David at Modwise and bought a hot-start kit. David had explained that it was easy to fit and as such I was fully intending to connect it myself using the instructions supplied. However, after some considerations - looking at the spaghetti in the footwell, studying the supplied instructions and then taking into account the damage I could do if I got it wrong, have decided to try and find someone that knows what they are doing to fit it for me - question is, who?

Does anyone have any suggestions of who would be good to take it to that knows how to fit it?

I would think that any decent TVR dealer or specialist would be able to do this for you.

Steven,

I fitted the kit to my Chim 2 years ago and I have no experience of electronics (seriously, I am clueless when it comes to wires). It is intimidating, but was actually quite straight forward when I started...a 10 minute job.

If you live anywhere near Camberley area, I'd happily try and remember what I did and help you.

p.s. The kit works a treat!

just fitted the kit last night, follow the instructions that david supplies and it is a 10min job with no experience necessary. The hardest bit was putting the battery terminal back on after fitting the live directly to the battery!

stopped for petrol this morning afer sitting in traffic and it she started. It works!
