5 or 6 speed

Hi guys ,sorry if this has been done before but the search is not working.
I'm seriously looking at buying an Ultima GTR,what i need to know is which box is the best? is the 6 speed better for top end performance and the 5 speed better for road use?
help please

Get an engine with lots of revs and a five speed box like the G50/52 with LSD.
Or if you want top speed then the same engine plus a six speed G50/20 or 21 with LSD and swop out 6th for a nice tall cruiser.

Yep that's the one. Thought it went a bit further than that but it gives you a lead to follow up.

I've got a G50/21 6 Speed, and 60mph in 6th is about 2k rpm, so 180 at 6k rpm.

So you'll need a bit of a rev box to do more than that with the std ratios.

Also, the box is quite closely ratioed to keep the porker turbo spinning, so you can jump 2 gears at a time.

I have to agree with Steve about the 6th gear, I'm considering swaping it out for something a bit lower still, so I can cruise at 70mph at < 2k rpm.

If you can, get the highest end ratio for road use. It lowers your highway speed RPM.
