997GT3/CGT seats for a 996GT3

Hi,

I am considering putting bucket seats in my 996 GT3 (yes I'm one of those with the sport seats) and have taken a bit of a shine to the design of the Carrera GT/997 GT3 lightweight ones.


Obviously I'll be waiting a little while before I do this, 'til they're cheaper/more readily available but does anyone know if they would fit in the first place?

More chance of an answer on Rennlist, but I'm not sure anyone knows if they will fit yet. Given they are carbon fibre though, it is fairly safe to assume they will cost even more than the 996 GT3 buckets...

IIRC, Der has these in his 993, so I'm pretty sure that they could be fitted to a 996? But I await being corrected.

Then again, are they GT2 seats?

I've reflected on this a bit, and I've come to the conclusion I think these seats are uglier than the older sytle ones! Am I nuts?
