Finally got this on Saturday (its £11.50 in Asda btw) after endless waiting and some very polarised reviews (either loved it or hated it).

If you loved FFVII, this is a slight continuation of the story line. The plotline is largely confusing, the graphics are amazing and the action scenes were utterly incredible. Pretty much what I was hoping for.

Although I'm massively annoyed that the english version was randomly snipped from the Japanese (the "deleted scenes" are invariably about 3 seconds long) and that a feature is missing from the UK 2 disc edition...

I'm falling into the "love it" camp, despite the griping

Is it Gary Glitter's autobiography, or what...?

I have this too, ordered it from Play.com. Love the CGI, I just wished they'd spent a little more time writing a cohesive storyline - too confusing for people who have no idea about the FF7 game - and as I haven't played that game in about 8 years, I was a little confused as to why, what, where? too!

I didn't enjoy it that much. It was difficult to understand the protagonists motivations, and new ones seemed to appear at random with little or no explanation. Plus most of the blokes looked like women.

On the positive side, it was a visual feast and had lots of ludicrously powerful looking motorbikes.

I would imagine that a passing moderator looked at the title of the thread, thought "Final Fantasy - that's a game", and moved it here.

Agreed, the "retrospective" part of the disc recapping the FFVII plotline missed out on an incredible amount as well. Ah well, eyecandy at the very least.

I loved the little touches like the FFVII "victory" tune being played as a mobile phone rintone. I'm sad enough to be considering getting that myself...

If you find it let me know.

£11.50 I'm off to Asda then. Saw this a while ago when a friend from Japan brought it over. Excellent especially if you liked FF7 the game. I have dug my PC copy out and am currently trying to progress through it.
