Help choosing Cerbie replacement
Discussion
Without wishing to upset any TVR owning PHers. A good friend of mine has decided enough is enough. He is on his third Tiv - two Chimaeras and this Cerbera - and while he loves the cars he has decided against another TVR because of the reliability issues he has experienced. As he puts it 'It's a holiday car that is always on holiday!' The Cerbera has just been back to Blackpool to have the rear suspension rebuilt and the electrics sorted, it was away over Christmas for about four weeks. On its return he couldn't get into it as the electrics had packed up again, back it went. On its return the second time the same thing happened. It eventually came back last week.
The question is what should he replace it with? While it was away the garage lent him a 355 F1 which was fantastic but it hasn't got the brute force and rawness of the Cerbera (about which I expect Ferrari are delighted!) - it's also significantly more expensive! Any suggestions - he could go up to about 60k and, as I said at the beginning, this is NOT a dig at TVRs!
