I am based in West Sussex (Haywards Heath) and own a 04 reg VX Turbo. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a particularly good dealer/servicer to service my motor and do any warranty work that may need doing (within a 50 mile radius of HH)? Many thanks!

I would suggest Lance Owen. I would also suggest looking on VX220.org.uk as you will see others experiences, good and bad.

Cheers. The only other option that people recommend on vx220.org.uk is Plans Motorsport. Do you know anything about them? If so, would it be advisable for them to do servicing within the warranty period?

I am not sure if they are Vauxhall approved. If your car is under warranty then I would suggest sticking to the approved route. Once out of warranty, the world is your oyster!!

Plans Motorsport may not be a Vauxhall VX220 main dealer; however if they carry out servicing work in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines and utilise OEM parts, that should not negate any future warranty claims - as far as legislation is concerned.

Check SELOC and VX220.org for testimonials regarding Plans.

Plans are brilliant, Graham is not only a lovely chap he also knows an awful lot about the cars and of course has an amazing facility down there at Dunsfold.

If you really want to stay within the Vauxhall dealer network and I appreciate that they arent exactly local but Monorep in Southall, West London are utterly fantastic. Sympathetic to warranty work and aftermarket mods as well.

I suggest you treat the above staement as an opinion rather than fact. I know of people that thought this and came very unstuck.
Not saying you should not do it, but do it whilst understanding the risks involved.

It is in no way, my opinion - merely european legislative fact.

Of course with no knowledge of the details, of those cases you speak of - I can't possibly comment.
