We host our own web farm for our main web sites, but for many reasons , we are looking for an external host for:
PHP
MySQL
and ideally supported
wiki server
blog server
forum/bulletin board server (PHPBB)

Anyone out there?

The VDS Pro option from https://www.register1.net/ looks very promising - that's owned by a PHer isn't it?

TIA

FG

Indeed.

If you want something a little more 'powerful' we offer Dedicated Servers from £49 monthly too.

I'll add to that comment. No trouble at all in the 2 years I've been with them.

Tried very hard to persuade the company I work for to move to Register1 / Serverstream, but I couldn't manage it - they wanted a local company rather than one down South. Problem is of course, we're still trying to get the setup right with the local company.

As long as your customer support doesn't start calling me Mr Phil, and you don't get a strange tan and smell of curry all the time.... things will be fine

You're not wrong. I'm beginning to think this 'work' thing was a bad idea. You are expected to think, ALL DAY! What's all that about? Is that normal?

Well we've finally got the internal bureaucracy sorted and have now ordered and configured a VDS.

Many thanks Jamie.

Seconded, Jamie and his crew have bent over backwwards to try and help us out.
Now of only I can get them to bend over forwards

(Jamie, the order's on its way... at last!)
