It cramped and noisey , drinks fuel like a p**shead at a free drinks night , eats tyres , no span adjustment on the clutch lever but .........

F**k me its shifts like nothing else ive ridden and its chuckable , 150 comes up in no time ..

And i hate it because it makes the ace feel pedestrian .

Is it a loaner, or are you moving on from the Ace?

Denny,

Would that be the ZX12 again? For what it's worth, I fitted a span adjustable lever on my SV, so it must be possible to manage similar on the 12.

Yep its the ZX12R , 1st thing i would do is change the clutch lever its quite a reach , my old zzr had adjustment so why cant they fit it to their top of the range sportsbike ?

I just sold my ZX12R (unrestricted one)and got a 99 r1,i miss the ZX12R,but one thing i love about the R1 is you have to rev it and work it like hell, which i love! The Busa and the ZX i had just done everything so smoothly and easily(like what you say about the 150mph)that they just didn't do anything for me?(well the Busa used to spit flames which was nice!)

I have just been out on the ace and im grinning after ragging its little exup'd nuts off , it is definately more chuckable than the 12r and more composed on b roads , but there is something about the sheer grunt of the 12r , its just so quick the ability to look up the road past a line of 8 cars doing 40 and think "hmm id rather be there" flick the throttle when you begin to say that and by the time you have you are there .. plus i have a huge soft spot for big kwacks , ooo and another thing the noise of that ram air my ace sounds so quiet untill the exup valve is open

If you hate the ZX12, imagine how you'll feel about the new ZZR1400 (ZX14)
