Hi all,
It looks like i will be buying the Snooper Indago, but before i take the plunge, has anyone fitted one on the Chim? If so, where do you mount it to ensure good screen visibility with the roof off, and are you pleased with it so far?
Oh yes, and did you mange to find one for less than £499.
Many thanks for your help

Hi,

I did the review <a href="http://tyrekickers.com/newsreviews/st and that was fitted in my 400 chim. It was tricky to fit because of the dashboard shape and I don't particularly like having stuff stuck on the windscreen, but having it anywhere else meant taking your eyes well off the road to look at it. I guess that would be the case with any unit, though. The aerial is particularly powerful as it has been designed to work down on the center console somewhere if you just want to listen to voice directions and not actually see it. I found that got annoying after a while though. It will sit quite happily in most places - roof on or off.

I think Indago (read Snooper) are not allowing any discount on price - i'd be suprised if you could find one for much cheaper than that.

Hope that helps.

Mark

Many thanks Mark, useful review, which confirmed what the marketing blurb states. Like you, i'm not sure about having a device on the dashboard, but i'll find a local dealer who might let me play with the positioning of it in the car.
Appreciate your response

Laser alert comes on with Road Angel as well
I've spoken to Road Angel direct and they sent out new lead but it still comes on under quick acceleration
