When I bought my 350 at the begining of the year the air temp sensor had been taken off as it was faulty. I have just received a new one this week and fitted it yesterday. But were does the sensor sit, does it just hand loose ?

Don't know, but please tell me where it is. I want to find a way to get it to read the real air temp as its always at least 20degs above the real figure in summer.

Mine plugs in just onto and towards the back of the drivers side fan ( above the radiator)

it is only small the plug, lead and sensor is only about 7cm long.

Sorry to resurrect this one again.
Yesterday it was 10 deg C. According to the display, my T350 was reporting 21. Clearly wrong.
Does anyone know if the air temp data is actually used for anything other than driver info?
Also is this the correct location for the sensor btw: 'towards the back of the drivers side fan ( above the radiator)'
Thoughts welcome. J

I think its just driver info. On a tamora the sensor is meant to be near the fron numberplate. Mine just reads complete tosh all of the time. But i always liken it to inside the cabin temperature! Ie in the south of france on the burball in traffic it was reading 47c which felt about right! rofl

In my Tamora last week, the temperature was reading 23 degrees but it was actually just above freezing! Common fault I think, just badly positioned. My dealer said not a lot could be done.
