Weird Graphics Problems

Angular grey shapes like the one in the screenshot kept appearing when I was playing BF2

I had the same problem and it was due to my graphics card not having enough umph to cope with the amount and size of textures needed.

There are all the obvious things to do such as updating motherboard and graphics card drivers, patching windows to the latest version etc...

can be caused by overheating have you been overclocking it ?

Haven't overclocked it, but it is in a laptop?

I sometimes get strange graphic glitches on my laptop if I'm running games - it is due to the graphics chip over heating - solution: external fan blowing across my laptop.
