Odd dealer behaviour?

It would seem odd not to open at least one day of the weekend, make sure you are buying the car from a reputable source with some back up if things go wrong. Someone with a couple of cars at home may well have moved on / not be selling cars any more / would love to help but hasn`t got any money should things go pear shaped. We all started somewhere but never been a fan of making out you`re something you aren`t, ie larger.
Offer to see the car during the week or do some homework on the net to ensure the gentleman owns the site where you are going to see the car rather than just puts cars on someone else`s pitch.

Simple - if he's at home and you have any doubts, treat him as a private seller with no dealer advantage/protection ... however, value the car accordingly.
Just do all the sensible checks that you would do with any car purchase, ie. your own HPi check, inspection and so on.

When I was looking for my car quite a few dealers said they was using the car as a daily drivers. Small time dealers seem to run arond in the pick of the crop for a while and when its still there a month later they concentrate on selling it.
Infact two I saw hadent even been preped at all, just as they came in to them in a trade in / auction.
Thats what you get with seeing small dealers (if you are that is), but you just have to view the car and see for yourself.
Dealers talk there cars up so much (especially back street small dealers), most of what I saw I was very dissapointed in. I rang a private guy up who told the truth down to the smallest detail that I didnt bother viewing the cas as it sounded like a dog. A week later I was passing his place after viewing a dog at a dealers and saw him and it was a stunning car. So thats the one I got.
If a dealer doesnt answear your questions in full on the phone and just keeps saying well you will have to see it, then beware. If its a truly great car they will want to tell you about it.
Most small dealers have one of these linked Autotrader sites now as they are so easy to set up.

Looking at the site, it seems that he's more of a 'broker' type dealer, not your typical 'forecourt' merchant. I have heard of this co. before, but have had no dealings with them - I think they've been around for a few years, and always seem to have nice 'prestige' cars up for grabs.
I see he specializes in European imports....perhaps that why he seems cheap to you.

if you are happy with the car you are viewing , why would this matter so much ?
maybe im a bit too layed back , if i was going to see a car and over the moon with condition / dealers attitude / and had good feelings about the deal ( as long as not in a pub car park ) then i would buy it .... ask or put a thread on the forum about this company see if he is genuine !!! get some feedback , has anyone previously bought of this guy before ? and bad feedback about him ? if the answers come up no problems, then go with your heart.....thats if your happy

to show what they have had in stock ! why not ? im crazy on porsche , i also like to look at websites and see what cars have been sold , i like to look not always to purchase , i love to look at other peoples cars .. and wifes !!

The Targa looks a steal, unless its been around the world a couple of times. Nice spec for the money.
