Recently had my car serviced and the OPC pointed out that my tyres on the rear were close to illegal. I asked how much and they quoted best part of £300 each, fitted with balancing.

I then called Elite in Rainham, who i have been using for around 10 years, they quoted £350'ish for the PAIR fitted and balanced. Basically half price. I had a pair of P Zero's N rated fitted.

If anyone is in the Essex area, i would seriously consider using them. I always knew they were cheap, but didn't realise just how cheap.

I've seen a lot of posts on tyres on here recently, so thought i'd add my bit.

Cheers.

in defence of OPCs (cant believe i'm saying that) i needed 4 new pirelli P Zeros last month. my local tyre man told be £105 + VAT each but couldnt source 4 tyres. In fact no one in taunton could. Porsche centre Exeter could however, total bill; £500 for 4 tyres including VAT i.e identical to best local price

ok so the geometry would have cost another £200 - it wasnt done in the end but thats another story. however the tyres themselves, i couldnt have got cheaper
