Kit-parts Open Weekend 6/7 May

A quick plug for Derek and Tris at kit-parts.co.uk - holding an open day in their posh new premises at Stanton near Bury St Edmunds. All are welcome!

A new venture, some of you will have met them at the kit car shows over the last year. Their website shows the parts end of the business, but increasingly they conduct race and track day prep - evidence at Cadwell Park is at:

They also finish projects and undertake custom builds. Recently they have become agents for Yokohama and TSW (anyone need a new set of A048s?), and have taken on development and build responsibility for the evil-looking Toniq-R (www.toniqr.co.uk)

Around at the weekend will be the Toniq-R, the STM 'Blade from the videos, and the infamous Cortina MkIII V6 General Lee.

Work in progress includes the mid-vtec-engined RS200 replica on a bespoke development chassis, the bare metal re-fabrication 2dr MkIII Cortina destined to receive a 3.8 supercharged V6, cage, IRS and LSD(!), a couple of Mantas, one with an Ecotec and throttle bodies, the other with a Mustang V8 in it, a Cobra rep and the engine shop.
