Toshiba Laptop Keyboard

depends on model.
older ones there is a stip of plastic at the top above the F keys that just clips in. Pry out with finger nails then undo the single screw in the middle and lift carefully as there is a flat ribbon cable/flexi-PCB in a socket beneath. You need to lift the clips(very small) at each side of the socket to release the grip on the ribbon cable.
Just looking at mine (newer model) and I haven't a clue how to get this one out

A set of jewellers screwdrivers, a small pair of pliers and a pair of tweezers, and you have all the friends you need to get into most laptops.
Just take a lot of time, ber very patient, make diagrams of how it all fits together and what size screw goes where. Lots of little pots (eggcups) to put the screws in would be good, and a good bright light to work under.
Don't over-force anything. But you may have to gently force many things to unclip them. Oh, and if you break anything off the motherboard, best of luck as you solder them back on ... (Yes, I have.)
Oli.
