I don't know about anyone else but the weather here is positively fantastic.

As such, I think we should all try to come up with a photograph which sums up our weekend - doesn't have to be shot with amazing gear, just a snap that captures that weekend feeling!

Best photo gets nothing except the praise of his or her peers. Now there's a prize!

naturally it will rain all day tomorrow and sunday and ruin this idea

The weather is amazing today, after last nights biblical storms!
I am going to be busy in a garden all day tomorrow then off to a wedding reception so Sunday is out i think!

The weekend starts when you finish work today, so yes, it counts!

Nah, balls to that, when has the weatherman ever got it right often enough that you can rely on it. I have a weekend of clay bar and carnuba waxing lined up so if it rains I'll be beating up a weatherman soon!

Isnt clay barring a micra a bit extreme? I have to say, I admire your dedication!

It's amazing the clarity in London at the moment. I could see all the way to north London from CP on the way home, some 15 miles. No SLR on me so no piccies, but if there is someone out there with one there is going to be one hell of a sunset as tomorrow's rain clouds are nicely forming on the horizon at the moment!

Well I didn't see any sunshine, but the rain held off so I've just spent several hours with a clay bar, and some "Harly" Carnauba wax. Result is one very shiny car, but that leaves a dilemma. Photographing a shiny car without a polariser just gives you pictures of reflections. With a polariser you can't see how shiny it is!

So here's one to sum up my weekend so far:

Here's my snap from the weekend - taken on Sunday, at Christchurch Pak in Ipswich at the start of the Ipswich to Felixstowe classic car & bike rally.

Dunno what the weather was like elsewhere but we had two days of sunshine over on the west coast of Scotland . . . thankfully most other people saw the bad forecast and so we also had empty roads . . . so the car got a damn good thrashing too ;-)

Something I kinda like :-

Not had chance to do any this weekend, spent most of the time sorting out photos of a hen weekend I went on last week, and making them into a photobook as a present for the bride to be. Incidentally its a great idea from photobox and only £20 too

www.photobox.co.uk/studio/photobook.html?ulstatic=unloggedphotobook

It does give me an excuse to post these though, even though they are a week old

Second one works better for me MrsF. The first one looks a bit 'squashed' at the top.
