Cracking bonnet hinge...

Title says it all really. Question is, what is the best way to sort it out?

The current (driver's side) looks like it has already been repaired, so I want to make sure whatever I do is a sound job.

I can't tell how the original is fixed because of the repairs, I assume it was bonded in to the glassfibre?

My bonnets doing the same thing,aparantly you can get a new box(the fiberglass bit the hinges fasten to) fitted for about £50.Or you could try repairing it with some fibreglass,not done iether myself yet.

Two very large penny washers and a load of glassfibre resin in between sorted mine.

mine had been done previously at a dealers, they had cut a plate and pop riveted it into the grp, worked !

Thanks chaps. I'm not much of a DIY guy unless it's really clean and simple, so it looks like a trip to the Indies...
