Did anyone else spot his faux pas live on ITV during the European GP qualifying today?

He called Villeneuve.."Il Bastardo"!!!!

Can't really see what he had to complain about either, Villeneuve was on a qualifying lap as well. Fisi should have given himself the space on track before he started his lap.

He's making quite a habit of it. Must be what the Italian press want to hear I guess.

Still, Fisi 11th, JV 8th. Interesting strategy from JV ...

Yep, that was funny

Seems Alonso can do no wrong and Fisi can do no right.

Seems Fisi should learn from JV if anything and stop being a little wuss. Block others on your out lap so you dont get held up - call it making your own luck or whatever. Fact is JV got the BMW into P7 and Fisi in the fastest car could do no better than 13th. Theres no excuses at that level (and we seem to hear a lot from Fisichella dont we?)

If i was Flav id be on the blower to Webber way before now.

Although he still manages Webber he'll probably be unavailable for the time being. Although one of his other managed drivers Heikki Kovalainen could be very free to take over.

Martin Brundle was talking about who would go to Renault... the answer is obvious... Jacques Villeneuve. He's trouncing Nick Heidfeld and he is one the few drivers with a bit of character.

I think it's a joke that JV has been moved down the grid.
Why? whats the point in moving him? its racing, thats life.
Good laugh when he went down to see JV though.

I've just read this on F1live.com! What the hell are the FIA doing! They really are thrying their hardest to make a complete mockery of F1.

ah ok, he was on an out-lap.

but still...

the situation is the same for everyone. If you can't plan it so you can avoid other cars on your fast lap then it is your problem.

Agreed. Sounds like the stewards were bullied by Renault.

IMHO Fisi should be reprimanded for bringing the sport into disrepute, not to mention storming off down the pitlane without paying much attention to any cars coming and going arounds him.

Anybody would think he's italian with a fiery attitude like that.

So Villeneuve drops from eighth to ninth on the provisional grid as a result. If I was him I wouldn't be too disappointed with that since he's now on the better grippier side of the track and I bet he makes a better start than the person who's inherited his 8th place (Montoya).

I don't think they should have football-style "bringing the sport into disrepute" penalties. In football they just get applied to anyone who criticises the governing body, and any organisation that does not allow itself to be open to criticism should quite frankly be ashamed of itself.

they need to encourage more stuff like this!
