Discussion
Well its not long now till we are off to normandy. We are Sailing into zeebrugge and then driving down from there.
This will be my first big trip on my bike and my friends too.
Was looking for some advice on camp sites in the area that are biker friendly and relitivly cheap. Any one got any expereance of biking in this area?
Any general tips on mini tours like this would be great guys!!
Thanks in advance

Don't know specifically about the Normandy area but I have never had problems finding a camp site anywhere in France. It's also worth checking out the likes of the Formula 1 hotels as they are very cheap (around 30 euros per night for a room for three) and offer good clean accommodation, especially if it's raining.

Thanks black-k1,
Thats amazingly cheap and something I may consider if the weather is wet.
Would help if I could find my tent too, been hunting for it through out the house but its done a vanishing trick.
I thought it wouldnt be too bad getting a camp site in France, thaks for confirming that with me.
To be honest this whole trip has been so unorganised up until this week. All we really know is that we want to go visit the D-Day landing sites and the varies museums in the area, as we both have a keen interest in WW2 history.
Well I guess its going to be another one of those crazy trips where we never know were we are going to end up.
Thanks again for your advice Black-K1, lets hope my little XJ gets me there and back with no probs. Shame I have to miss the North West run but im sure the france trip will be great.
