So there's got to be a reserve on this - it's a dealer and it's not my experience that they are inclined to act with amazing generosity. However for a non-specialist dealer (presumption) having one of these on your forecourt over the winter is bad news so I figure he's probably set a reserve at 18k and he'll make a small loss on this one and learn his lesson. Chances are though, he bought it during the summer with good intention to sell it on quickly. But then he made the mistake of driving it around and enjoyed it so much he got caught with it when Autumn/Winter arrived.

On a separate but related note. Chimaera prices look very soft at the moment and there seems to be a lot for sale. For those of you who have had your Chimaera over the previous winter do prices significantly firm up again in the Spring or do prices just flatten out for a while before declining again next Winter?

I will say that, having just sold my 95N Chimaera, that if you price it at what it really is worth, waiting for the right buyer pays dividends: there's always the right buyer out there. It just takes longer, is all....

It went for £15,250. I nearly bid, but not having a job at the moment and no HPI check stopped me from pressing the button .

Looked very good value if all was as it seems...

It did not sell for £15250. The seller stopped the auction early(about 30 seconds before the end)because it obviously didn't reach the price he expected. This kind of behaviour stinks. He should have put a reserve on it like everyone else would.

IT's back on and the "bid" is at £19250 with a £21950 to secure the sale! The seller changed the pics around as well. I wouldn't touch this one without seeing the history or HPI check.

I would be supprised if they get away with this for long, ebay have an investigation team for this kind of behavior.

The Sellers got quite a history on Ebay.. I note he sold an old Merc there some time ago, the buyer then posted feedback to say it had failed HPI and was seeking his deposit back.

Hmmmm.
