I'm having serious problems with my 2wire system, as a router modem hub etc it behaves ok, that was untill it identified a firmware upgrade was available.
So I tried to upgrade the firmware, and now it's all gone south.....If I try to access the controls it won't show the access control panel, and now my daughter has full unrestrained internet access, all times of the day, I have reset the system back to factory default, but the upgrade must have gone wrong as the panel for setting access restrictions no longer shows. All other controls such as wirelss config, firewall etc remain ok.

Does anyone know anything about 2wire systems?

I realy need some help here.

TIA

Kevin.

Have you googled this problem with your router model and firmware upgrade number? It may be other people have had this problem and have identified a fix.

Lee, the problem is that 2wire only deal with ISP's, This router etc was a |BT branded one, it always trys to home in on the BT site, if I go to 2wire for help, it's pretty much useless at the mo' and googling for an answer gives me very little info at all, I had tried this first...

thanks anyway.

No idea what's up with the router, but if your problem is that you want the access restrictions back then perhaps you could just install some sort of Net Nanny anti porn software?

Thanks Green, I do have cybersitter on her PC, It's just more useful having the double layer and additional firewall capabilites of the router..

If the router is a BT one they normally replace them if you call them and let them know there is a problem.

I called BT a while back about a similar type of problem and after a little chat they sent a new one!
