I have this on my system (running windows ME), but it has now decided not to play my videos...either my own, or downloaded movies. Any idea what the problem is. Thx

There is no error message. It says playing, but does'nt. You can see the first frame of the movie only, and stills from the movie if you move the 'bar' across, but it doesnt play.

The movies arent corrupt either, as some i can play using other players. It just seems a fault on win med player.

In media player options, you've got a performance/troubleshooting tab - might be worth a play around in there?

Tried..wont do it. I have error message.

The SETUP_WM.EXE file is linked to missing export KERNEL32.DLL:GetSystemWindowsDirectoryW.

Does this mean anything

Hmmmm. Maybe go in through Microsoft.com, click over to Windows Media (can be accessed from the Windows mini-site) and see if there is an ME version of this. It looks to me like it can't find your Windows directory, though. Not sure...
