Been to one before, and it was not a bad day! 4 runs I think my friend got in (I was spectating). Lots of queuing up, but its a good chance to chat to a few people and generally hang out

Were up at Thorneys on Saturday which must be nearby...

Get there early! You've got the best chance of getting runs in then.

Thrashed my Alpine Renault GTA Turbo up the Pod a few years ago. Got in the low 14's, could have gone quicker but there is a knack to it (avoiding too much wheel spin, changing gear correctly, not hitting the rev limiter). Still, embarrased a chipped up audi TT 225.

Go up with some mates & it's a great way to see who's got the quickest motor, albeit in a straight line.

A very cheap way of experiencing motorsport without the expense of a trackday. Also, no noise restrictions, you dont need a helmet & your not gonna do a set of tyres!

I was there on Sunday.

I managed a 12.7 which I was very happy with considering I had never ever had any 1/4 mile experience before.

Was very nerve-racking to be honest!

Thanks, that was in the Evo. The Noble is my mother's car.

I reckon I can get that down a bit next time though as I wont be quite so nervous. I also will have a twin-plate clutch

Ahh but wasn't that one with Nitrous and an intercooler the size of Dover!

I brought my MX5 down but can't run as Im running in a new clutch - some other 5's did run, normal one pulled early 16's while the supercharged brigade were pulling mid 14's which ain't bad.

what colour was the evo? i was there sunday aswell (redline rumble)
but i wasnt in my modified lotus esprit, i have never done pod yet,
it looks scary on the line. and i really dont fancy getting wasted
by a clio or saxo with 8 engines. but that CRD supra was insane.

misses will be taking her supra down there soon when the toys go
on,,,trying to get her to go on a show day because at some shows they
have women only catergorys, and she should have a chance.

I went with Laurance on Sunday too.

I managed a 14.7 in my clio v6 which i was happy with. Over a second faster than the Clio Cup 172 of my friend. And these cups are meant to be a fast as the v6? would be good to see them on track together.

Laurence, i rekon with your cluch you will be seeing much better times
