Back to road tyres, help required!
Discussion
Hi, due to the fact that it's been dumping down torrential rain TWICE a day, everyday, for the past month or so, and having read some posting on this board that states PS Cups only last 3000 miles and have limited heat cycles, I've thus decided to go back to road tyres on the GT3 Mk1.
OK, here's my problem. I need alignment specs for road tyres. The car was set up for the PS Cups by her previous owner, and is not running -1.5 and -2.3 degrees camber front and rear, respectively. It also has +0.05 and + 0.16 toe on the front and rear, respectively. Those are the specs that the previous owner gave me, and told me to stick to, if I were running PS Cups. Unfortunately, he does not have a set of specs for road tyres.
I've tried looking through the Driver's Manual, but other than tyre pressures, it provides no information on the stock settings (which I wouldn't mind going back to). Does anyone have that information and is willing to share? Or of any other setups that I should try?
Look, I know I should be paying for this service, and I would glady do so, but there are no Porsche independents here that do set-up (in KL, Malaysia), and the one and only OPC here is a little... unreliable, and was warned off them by the previous owner.
I promise that I won't distribute or use this info for commericial gain. I'm just really, really lost, being only 1 of 2 GT3 Mk1 owners here in KL, and it also being my first Porsche and all...
If you're uncomfortable posting that information on the board, please feel free to email me at weider.low@gmail.com.
Thank you.
