the latest in the cerbera saga for me

Went down to austec to pick up my cerb last week. engine sounded sweet, car looked superb. pauls done a grea5t job all round.

we were a bit early so paul suggested we go for a spot of dinner so he could clean it.
came back one hour later and the cars on ramps again!!

turns out that the input shaft on the gearbox had broken!!

so another week or two in the garage is on the cards, although, and this is the kind of service that sets austec apart from the rest for me, Paul was so upset at promising me the car and not being able to fulfil on that day that he is fixing it and indeed rebuilding my gearbox FOC !!!

how many other tvr guys would do that??

hope to get it back this weekend but now i have another predicament!

my brother has just bought a 360 modena.
any cerb owners had a tustle with one of these and if so how did you fair?

if badly, how much will it cost me to be quicker??

i once had a tussle with a modena, i gained 100yrds on it and thats how it stayed for about 2 miles

How the heck does an input shaft break? I've never seen that before! Incredible. Well done Austec for sorting that repair out for free though, that would normally set you back a grand all in! top marks.

I had a run in with a 360 a couple of years ago on a dual carriageway. He couldn't pass me and when I let him past, it was easy to keep up. And this was before the Trackcar treatment

sorry, my mistake, it was the OUTPUT shaft. Paul has just given me a call and its ready so i will be picking it up sat am.
