Hello all, me again.

Having had various recommendations regarding the P-2000 and some advice against the (potentially fragile) 80GB iWith I'm thinking the P-4000 is the way to go. It's up to 80GB now so plenty of room for photos and mp3s which means I don't need to take an mp3 player with me as well (always nice to reduce the number of gadgets you need!). I like the P-4000 and find the features meet all my needs so my only question now is what's the best price people have seen?

I'm happy to do the trawling if anyone has any websites they usually rely on for sharp prices... My best price so far is £428.97 (delivered) from BestCameras.co.uk. Anyone beat that? I've even had a look on eBay but didn't find much competition except for a couple of "offers" from China. Hmmmmm. China. Bank transfer only. Let me think about that for a moment ...

Thanks for any pointers guys,

Andy

Got one about a year ago. Excellent. Recently used it at a car show event that I attended. It came in real handy for showing around pictures that I had taken of the day (some of the women are notoriously picky about what pictures that you can post online and I didn't want to waste the battery of the 350d showing them the pictures after taking them). The screen is quite large in comparison to your camera's so it is good for things such as that.

It also does mp4 movies (no Windows Media support just yet).

Thanks for that Ernest, it's good to hear another positive comment. I'm certainly looking forward to the larger screen!

I love my my P-2000, and if you have a lot of music I can see the sense in the 80 Gig upgrade. The sound is quite acceptable too, but I'm not sure if that's down to my B&O earphones.

Martin.

Another vote for the Epson here.
I got the P4000 at Christmas (80Gb). It's not cheap - was £412 then from Amazon, now appears to be £440!
Have had no problems with it, and the screen is large and of amazing quality.
One thing to note though is that you don't quite get the full 40Gb (P2000) or 80Gb (P4000), as some space is taken for "system files", so you do lose 3.5Gb on the P2000 and a whopping 6.2Gb on the P4000.
Still an excellent product though.

Conrad.
