Just watched Gone in 60 Seconds again and seen a few cars that don't match their list. Please correct me if im wrong though...

Cage and Jolie go to steal what looks like a Diablo but thats not on the list. The side view and Alloys just scream Diablo to me... But the next car Jolie drives into the harbour is the XJ220...

Secondly, the big black guy steals what looks like a Jaguar XJ8 or XJR... not on the list.... whereas the Jaguar XK8 coupe is... When the car is ticked off on the board it is as the XJ220..

Would be interested to hear from anyone who agrees or disagrees with my thoughts. Other than that this is a very fab film.

Seems you're not the only one who spotted some "minor discrepancies"...

On the subject of Gone in 60 Seconds, anyone else see the original, 1974, version this afternoon on Sky Cinema? Got to be in the "top 10 car chases" list although the rest of the film is pretty flaky...

Well spotted Andy, there was a post a while ago on here and the mistakes were brought up, it's amazing how many mistakes there are in films which MOST people don't pick up on.

Welcome to the forum by the way

Edited to add: That post can be seen here.

Could that be some of us just watch the movie for the entertainment value (either that or we are all too /).

Films aren't real you know!

WHAT???? Even the one's based on a true story.....like.........The Matrix

God, next you'll be telling me that Wallace and Grommit are made of plasticine or something, tut, some people just don't understand

Ok so I do watch it for the entertainment, Gone in 60 secs is a fantastic film I think, I've seen it about 30 times but that's mainly because I have nothing better to do

I need to get out more..........

What about the ones based on a true story types? You know the ones...Couple are secret agents uncovering a major drugs ring and save the world from nuke attack from mutant mutants along the way. Based on Erik and Silv going to the chemist for skin ointment and pick the paper up on the way home.

Nope - made up.

Actually it's plasticine mixed with a bit of PVC glue - but - yep - they aren't real either.

I might have to buy it - I had to switch off The Fast and the Furious after about 30 mins - it was just toooooo MP and crap for my liking.

Oh - by the way, Father Christmas isn't real either.

I reckon the movie is whack anyway.... i mean why in the hell you'd worry so much about a silly shelby mustang when you're stealing things far more valuable, exotic, expensive etc as a Diablo, a XJ220 or a Ferrari 250, is completely and utterly beyond me..... sounds like jingoistic yank crap to me
