Basically i you have seen some of my recent post i am probably going to trade in my beautiful CBR600F and get a brand spanking new CBR600RR.
(the wife has given me full approval too)

Currently i do not have an alarm on my bike but should i get one on the CBR600RR, i very rarely leave it anywhere and it is in a locked garage. Will it make much difference to the insurance??? And is it worth the extra £XXX?

Cheers

I think it depends on how old you are (Bizarely) and where you live.

Some insurers don't seem to insure you anymore unless you have an alarm. Might be worth phoning your insurer and asking them.

Seems to make a significant difference to the premiums,if, as has been posted, the ins company will actually insure it without one.
Utterly useless, imho, as the only people it seems to annoy are the neighbours when it goes off, and me when it arms itself after 30 seconds having fuelled up. mutter mutter
