I'm looking to get one of these Navigation units for the Chimaera... just a couple of questions:

1. Anyone know a good supplier (Carl Baker?), the best price I've seen is £950.
2. Does the screen fit under the curve of the dash?
3. Can I mount the GPS antenna under the dash-top? Any other recommendations?
4. Any top tips for the install?

Hi Alex, don't know about fitting, but kelkoo gives a price of £830.

I've just decided on a Snooper Indago - want to get the warnings on speed cameras,

Might be able to shed some light on this one.

1. Fitted one to mine myself, just a question of shopping around(NB: new 06 mapping disc out now).
2. It did foul the corner of the dash hood, I fitted an ally spacer to allow it to clear – see photo.
3. The GPS antenna works a treat under the dash top, I found the best place directly on top of the relays(flasher unit etc).
4. I had a CD changer, ipod interface, not a hard install, I put unit under driver’s seat.

Has worked a treat all over europe, well worth having IMO.

e2djh - Thanks for the link! Just saved me a packet!

Thanks for the pic, where did you get the spacer from?

Had some in the garage, just a piece of solid ally cut to size, should not be too hard to find if you choose to go the same route.

Next question - where did you put the 'brian'? Is there space under the dash? I was thinking of putting it under the driver's seat (screwed onto some wood bonded to the body)...
