So how low do you go?

ok, so the clutch has finally had its 22k miles and decided that it doesn't want ot go no further. (lucky it let me park it nicely outside the house where it is now conveniently sandwiched between other cars....)

Was going in for service on Sat, but need to get the AA man to come and drag the car onto a loader.

Anything I should watch out for? Where SHOULD he be attaching the drag ropes etc and is there any good way to get them to send a low loader immediately rather than mr patrolman first?

They will attach the ropes to the front of the chassis no probs.
I had no prob with getting the AA to send a low loader without a patrol man - all I did was mention broken clutch.

Some members have had the AA turn up with normal low loaders and the Cerbera's wont go on them, theyre not low enough, so make sure you tell them that you want an extra low low loader!

My Cerb went straight onto an AA low loader no problem a while ago, perhaps because what it thought it was its second home at the time.

A good trick is to stand on the cable/rope as they drag the car on the loader. This keeps the cable/rope clear of the nose so you don't scratch the paint.

Cheers! - we'll see how it goes.... and then hope that the warranty covers the clutch. Wish it covered the 24k service as well

a cuople of planks usually helps the pull onto the lorry. There is a towing eye on the front chassis rail beneath the splitter. Use a small piece of wood 2 inches square x say 300mm under the front of the car so that the wire does not distort the splitter under the car
