400 se front indicator lenses

Any one know a supply of the front indicator / sidelight for the 400 as want to replace mine once I cut them out to spray.
Or anyone done an update and replaced with something different ? ( I can vision myself putting the old circular landrover ones on - frenched in of course )

They're Peugeot 404, 504 or something like IIRC...?

I got mine from an old dealer in Macclesfield you need to find a dealer with the old microfiche thingy as they are not listed on the new system

Wil look for a pug dealer and ask them for those part numbers as I want both.

BTW they are a bu**er to get out, well and truly sealed in. Good job i'm binning them as broke 1 lense so far and only cut one out

I read somewhere that they're Peugeot 505.
eurocarparts.com list these at £7 left hand and £25 right hand, if that helps.
R/H units are out of stock though!

Well finally got a set for £30 from a breaker in Essex I was passing today.

Yes they were 505 and considered antiques by the scrappy

Someone asked me if they had to be modded to fit the Wedge, well it does not seem so, just lots of thick glue along the bottom edge, and then sealant all round the edge to the fibreglass. Not sure what glue I'm going to stick them with yet, but need to get it painted first anyway

Euro car parts only had 1 side in stock and not sure if they could get the other in

Bloody Wildlife

Was out for a run Saturday morning, north of Gleneagles, and managed to hit a grouse which has smashed the passenger front indicator/side light assembly.

as the local scrapies told me all vintage Peugeot gets shipped to Africa.

Ordered last Saturday from the Edinburgh branch. Guy said that as only one listed in stock, at their Wembley branch, they may not be able to find it. Phoned yesterday and it had arrived so went down to pick it up. Dealt with a different guy this time who was a little put out that I was getting this for £8.06 - "Bargain of the day mate". Turned out to be an original Valeo unit including bulb holders and wiring

From there I went to Hermiston Gate retail park to get the train into Edinburgh and as I parked up I spotted a Halfords branch. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, lets see if their parts department can source the LH unit I still need.

According to their computer system:

Part # 943993 FRONT / SIDE LIGHTING - UNIT & CLEAR INDICATOR - TOTAL £47.88.

From the description this unit would appear to have a clear indicator section but I have ordered one and will see what arrives, not paid for it yet so could always say no thanks. For anyone replacing both light units this could be an alternate source, rather than Peugeot at £70 each, with a different look at £47.88 each.

I bought one off french ebay the other day for 20 euros including p+p - baaaargin!!! I now have a permanent search up there for the froggy for indicator.

Right, just back from Halfords and where I picked up the side light/indicator unit I ordered and can confirm that the unit is the correct one. Original Valeo unit with bulb holders and electric wiring.

I had tried a number of local motor factors and scrapyards but could not find one which had or could order these, other than a Peugeot dealer at £70 each, Halfords £47.88 each.
