I am hoping to become a happy owner of a Chimaera in the spring and have read the several replies to other enquiries about independant vehicle inspections. Can anyone advise me who would be the most suitable such person in the North Hants area with a view to inspecting a car at either Fernhurst or Adrian Blyth showrooms.

Best of luck with finding a suitable car. I used Rob Ingleby at www.findasportscar.co.uk. Found him to be very knowledgeable and took time to show me all around the car and answer my newbie questions like "Whats this?" whilst pointing randomly at the engine. All this whilst it was snowing!

Nearly forgot to say i'm picking the car up today in about 3 hours

Banjo, as already mentioned Rob Ingleby is top guy. If the car is from Adrian Blyth it should have a clean bill of health from David Batty who is also top recommended guy (although he doesn't do the running around bit like Rob).

Let us have you immediate reactions to it - and some pics asap!

He doesn't dance all over the country in search of "that special one" either. It worked for me - but I'm lazy!

Not sure this is quite true, my understanding from Dave is that he works on Adrian's cars when asked to. It does not mean that ALL of these cars have been seen by Dave.

Not really relevant though as I'm sure Dave will inspect any car, but you'll probably have to get it to him.

Just comparative?

OK - I thought all of AB's cars were vetted by DB? I bet most of them are.

Thanks to all for the information, but how do I find Rob Ingelby. Can anyone provide an e-mail or phone contact number.
