Buying advice GT3 Mk 2 - seats

Help!
I am considering swapping my TT for a MK2 low miles GT£. But I have a problem. Unless I can get my 7 month old son in the back (irreguarly, but I must be able to) I have a major problem.
Alot of the answer comes down to the seats. Even though the GT3 doesn't have rear seats, a child seat harness can be fitted. But if the front seats don't fold down, I am stuffed. So did they sell MK2 GT3's with standard sports seats? If not, how easy is an after market change and how much (only one as mine can stay is)?

Yep, seem to remember reading something like this.
Depends whether it's classed as a two or four seater. Apparently some people's docs say two by number of seats.
Someone said it's straightforward to put the seats, and seatbelts in.
If you could get kids in the back, I'd have a GT3, oh yes.

i was thinking that. and even if they say it would be ok, i still would be super, super wary.
i know that should the worst happen, insurance would be the last of your worries, but im not sure youd want the hassle if it came to it: you know how these people can be if the see any loophole to get out of paying out.

I dont think that is a problem. If fitted correctly you can fit the isofix chair in the rear which bolts onto the body itself rather than the seatbelt. So just because the token seat pad and backrest are gone doesn't cause me concern as the seat would be fixed as it should be.
However, do you know about the seats?

A very good friend of mine is an insurance litigator. So I will check with him on motor classification. However, any ideas on the seats?

I would imagine that as the 911 range is classified as a 2+2, then the GT3 would be also classified as a 2+2 but with the rear seats removed. That is something altogether different from a 2 seater for insurance purposes. Moreover, if porsche can fit a standard isofix seat in the rear, it would have to comply with safety standards.
It would be difficult to construct a case, in the absence of further information, on invalidating insurance payouts based on the fact that some small unecessary leather clad foam was missing, unless it compomised the chairs fitting. This it does not do as the isofix does not fix to the rear chair.

Doubt it, my RS was type approved as a 2 seater (says on the log book) but I have heard talk on this board of 1 particular RS out there with the rear squabs fitted as an optional extra at build

ive had it laminated and take it everywhere with me to impress girls. plus, it takes attention away from my face.
Nothing next to number of seats for my C2 either.
There is space to amend the details for number of seats, and it allows three digits!

Haven't seen a MK II with the lay-z-boy chairs but that's not to say someone hasn't optioned them (but they'de be mad to do it if they did)
I take it the are standard fitment and could be swapped?
