Diff noise and oil type?

Anyone noticed an increase/decrease in diff whine after a fluid change? Mine was done recently and I would swear I now have a whine that wasn't there immediately before. If this is a known feature, anyone have a view on the 'quietest' oil to use????

Hi,

Not sure about quietest oil, but GKN recommend Shell Spirax Super 90 for their diffs (It has a special LSD additive). I replaced mine with this at a recent service but haven't noticed any increase/decrease in noise.

I'm not sure what BTR recommend for their diffs so you would be best off following the TVR recommendation.
