Trolley Jack suitable for 993

I need a trolley jack that works well with the 993 (i.e. fits under it and doesn't knacker the sills in lifting the thing up), and would appreciate recommendations.

One criterion extra - it must be easily purchasable from a real shop on Saturday morning, in my case this pretty much limits it to Halfords and various motor factors. Does Halfords sell a reasonable quality trolley jack that works with the 993? I have 4 wheels to replace, I'm not using it regularly or for serious work, so an uber-engineered professional jack isn't really suitable.

If anyone's got pics or model numbers then I'd much appreciate it.

I use this on my 996. I lift mine by the suspension arms near the shock mountings to be on the safe side. It's got a low saddle height (110mm) and a reasonable lift. It's been put to good use fixing my BM just lately and it seems well put together. Only £30.49 and you could probably order it online.

Alex, most of the trolley jacks that will fit easily under a 993 are quite expensive, circa £120-180...the standard Halfords 2 ton job will work......but to get it to go under, you either need to drive one axle of the car on to a bit of wood to raise the height...or as I do use a scissor jack to lift the car enough to get the trolley jack under, definitely needed with track set up on geometry.

I think the halfords one is about £25.....I beleive Lidl recently had similar 2 ton trolleys with a 2 year Tuv guarantee for £9.99......

Just for comparison...the Halfords one also has a minimum saddle height of 110mm, still a pain on a 993......I am sure all these jacks are made in the same factory in china with different prices once they arrive in the west.
